Artificial Grass Maintenance are proud to be members of SportSURF; a sports surface research network, based at Loughborough University, consisting of a broad range of members comprising of academics, practitioners and sports governing bodies. The network aim to stimulate and disseminate multidisciplinary research to advance science and practice, and address the broad problems associated with sports surfaces design, performance and the interactions with sport players and equipment. AGM RENEW UP FOR AN AWARD

15th October 2009, saw the team from Artificial Grass Maintenance heading down to the Emirates Stadium in London for the IOG industry awards ceremony. Nominated for an award in the Innovation in Grounds Maintenance Category, Artificial Grass Maintenance’s RENEW gained the esteemed title of ‘Finalist’. The RENEW is going from strength to strength. Priced at only £999 plus VAT the judges commented on the RENEW as being affordable to groundstaff and being a piece of kit no sports club should be without if they want to keep their surface in optimum condition in between regular maintenance treatments. |

This was the inaugural year for Artificial Grass Maintenance at IOG Saltex, and what an excellent show it was. We were inundated with visitors to the stand, all eager to see and ask questions about our newly launched machine The Renew. Our bespoke machine The Aqua Plus, designed for use on water based Hockey surfaces caused a stir, with the first machine being purchased at the show by Graham "Griff" Griffiths of Beeston Hockey Club. Cambridge, June 2009: For over 10 years, Artificial Grass Maintenance Ltd have been designing and developing bespoke machinery for use on artificial surfaces. At this year’s SALTEX show, Artificial Grass Maintenance Ltd will be launching The RENEW, a machine destined to redefine regular artificial surface maintenance for groundsmen. The Renew has been developed for sand dressed, sand filled and 3G surfaces. Its unique multi-function action allows The Renew to brush, decompact, distribute and finish the surface in one pass. The specially designed brushes lift the pile and loosen the infill. Fully adjustable angled tines de-compact giving a softer rejuvenated playing surface. The angle of the tines follows the surface, preventing snagging or seam damage. |

A flexible and height adjustable spreader bar distributes and levels the infill. A back finishing brush smoothes the surface ready for immediate play. The lightweight, contour hugging, flexible frame combined with adjustable tines and spreader bar allow The Renew to be used on surfaces of any age and condition. Castors fitted to the side of the frame allow for easy vertical movement and storage. Technical Director of Artificial Grass Maintenance, Charles Aveling, stated, “Doing the large amount of maintenance work we do, I was often approached by groundsmen who were getting limited success in maintaining the condition of their surface between our visits. My design team and myself developed a machine that is not only non-labour intensive but maintains surface condition all year round and costs less than £1000. We are also very proud to say it is manufactured wholly in the UK at our premises in March, Cambridgeshire.” |
